谁是2007最火辣新人？ 就是「Kat DeLuna 」，带著首支劲爆舞曲席卷舞池，融合了Reggae+雷鬼元素，今夏非听不可的单曲「Whine Up 」! 　　Kat DeLuna , 出身在纽约的Bronx , 之后随家人前往多明尼加在那边的贫民区长大,从小她就显露出她歌唱方面的天赋,之后,在她九岁时, 全家又迁回美国New Jersey居住 ,之后她的父母亲离婚 , 全家的生计陷入了困境 , Kat和她的姐妹们被迫要向邻居乞讨食物,但在这困境中也激起她力争上游的决心,趁她课后的空闲时间,她开始在当地许多的表演活动中上台表演, 也曾经和拉丁艺人Milly Quezada 及 Marc Anthony同台演唱过, 另外 ,她也在其它时间聆听Aretha Franklin及 Billie Holiday 的唱片,在中学习并增进她的演唱技巧 ; 之后,她在高中求学时期,组了个Latina, Hip Hop/R&B曲风为主的女子乐团 " Coquette " , 在15岁时她参加了一个歌唱比赛(可口可乐歌唱大赛),她以演唱 " I Will Always Love You "一曲拿下第一名的殊荣 , 这也改变了她的命运 , 为她开启前往演艺圈之路的大门 ; 她碰到古巴的salsa乐著名歌手Rey Ruiz , Rey给了Kat 许多的建议和指导,让Kat更坚定的了解自己想要做的音乐,及想要成为的歌手。

Raised in the Bronx and the Dominican Republic, Kat DeLuna grew up with a love for singing and, at the age of 14, began attending the New Jersey School of the Performing Arts. She formed an all-Latina R&B group called Coquette, which once opened for rapper Cassidy, but it wasn't long before she signed with GMB Music Group through the Sony-distributed Epic label.... ...More
